Oakwood Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur

We really enjoyed our stay at Oakwood. The hotel is located outside of the city center but it’s easy to get a Grab or taxi in the area. There are a few restaurant options that are pretty good and in walking distance as well as a local supermarket across the street. We booked the Deluxe King room which was spacious and cleaned everyday. The breakfast was good bust mostly the same every morning. There’s a huge pool outside though not many guests used it. Overall, I’ll recommend this hotel if traveling on a budget and if you prefer to be out of the busy city center.

We stayed at this hotel twice on our way to and from Bali. The hotel has a good location, about 7-10 minutes walk from Dato Keramat metro station, going along a bridge above the subway railway and a small river. The room was luxurious and more like an apartment than a hotel room, with a large comfortable bed in the bedroom and a sofa, chairs, a table, and a kitchen with all the necessary appliances in the kitchen-living room. The reception staff was attentive to our requests and questions, especially we would like to express our gratitude to Senior Sales Executive Mr. Yong Nan for his kind assistance.

Friendly staff throughout our stay, spacious room, good wifi connection, some great restaurant options within walking distance (We especially loved Sahara and Sohl for their beautiful open-air dining environments)

I had a wonderful stay at Oakwood Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur. The location is excellent—close to city attractions, yet tucked away enough for a peaceful rest. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed! Staff were courteous and attentive, especially at the front desk and housekeeping. I appreciated the smooth check-in/check-out process and their willingness to accommodate special requests. The facilities are also a plus—especially the pool and gym, which were clean and well-maintained. The in-house dining options were also pleasant, with a decent breakfast spread. Overall, it was a great balance of comfort, location, and service. I would definitely recommend Oakwood to both business and leisure travelers looking for a reliable and relaxing stay in KL.
